Welcome to Bermuda
Fairmont and Riddell’s Bay Golf and Country Club, Bermuda
This North Atlantic island might have you immediately thinking of shorts, grass and triangles. Huh?
Bermuda is more than just an adjective. As the oldest British Overseas Territory which recently celebrated its 400th anniversary, there is plenty to explore, and every activity imaginable from a round of golf on one of the island’s seven courses to sailing, fishing and scuba diving off the reef.
Above all, Bermuda boasts some of the finest hotels in the world. Case in point: the island’s only all-inclusive, Grotto Bay Beach Resort, situated among dramatic caves, woodland preserves, and of course, along one of those stunning Bermuda beaches, Bailey’s Bay.
There’s plenty to do on this lovely island, like hiking the Railway Trail, which runs from one end of the island to the other and features 35 different access points skirting along the coast and inland.
Bermuda is well-known as a golfer’s paradise, with a different course to play on every day of the week. The best choices include the Port Royal Golf Course and the Riddell’s Bay Golf & Country Club.
The island’s rich history should be seen first hand, and you can do just that by visiting one of Bermuda’s many old forts, churches, historical buildings and houses, museums, or the Gibbs Hill and St. David’s lighthouses.
And Bermuda delivers when it comes to night life as well: popular bars, happy hours and cocktails overlooking the sea are all worth experiencing here.
Spend some time on this Atlantic jewel and you’ll see that Bermuda is indeed much more than just a style of shorts.
