Next: How's the weather
Beaches on Barbados’ west coast are known for their beautiful white sand, calm Caribbean Sea waters and fabulous sunshine. South and east coast beaches are known more for their gentle to stiff breezes and long stretches of sand.
Windsurfers feel at home in Bathsheba Soup Bowl on the east coast, where crashing Atlantic Ocean waves meet the beach, and Silver Sands Beach and Casuarina Beach, both on the south coast, are ideal for surfing.
Calmer waters can be found for swimmers at Mullins Beach in St. Peter, Brown’s Beach on the outskirts of Bridgetown, and Brighton Beach, which is close to the city as well.
