If there’s one Caribbean island that’s easy to travel to, it’s Barbados. The island has become a hub for travel within the region and outside of the Caribbean, and the island’s only airport, the Grantley Adams International Airport, is a gateway to the world.

GAIA airport is serviced by a long list of international carriers such as Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, Condor, West-jet, Jet Blue, American Airlines, U.S. Airways and Air Canada, just to name a few. The airport had a major renovation and expansion which was completed in 2006, and it now features an executive lounge, larger arrival hall, and a business center.

The seaport and capital city of Bridgetown has a cruise terminal, nestled on the outskirts of the city, that welcomes cruise vessels throughout the year. More than 20 large duty-free shops there offer a range of jewelry, souvenirs and international brands.
