Had room 18 and was extremely surprised with the view from the balcony. Absolutely wonderful, and even better at night with the sailboats in view. Can pleasantly hear the ocean waves even with the door closed! Nice interior decor and fantastic location. Kitchenette and full bathroom. Great value and location. The area is very walkable - walked the beach easily. Also, in town directly across from the hotel you will find Chattel Village with shops, a mall and grocery store, as well as the new high end luxury mall. Jus Grillin is fantastic and very affordable, located just down the road. First and Second street restaurants are an easy walk from the hotel. There is a clean pool, a restaurant and bank attached to the hotel, and there are beach chairs out front. Shade is a little limited; however, there are many spots up the beach with lots of shade from the mahogany trees and palms. There is a shipwreck snorkel/dive spot very close to the hotel where turtles frequent and the catamarans stop with tourists. Great room, location and value! A hidden gem! « less

Stayed at Sunswept Beach for a week. Room was on the top floor although stairs not too onerous - views very good. This is a very basic hotel which is incredible value, being on the beach and close to lots of other amenities. There is a supermarket across the road and plenty of buses going to other parts of the island. Thursday night cocktail party excellent. « less

We are just ending our week long stay at the Sunswept. It is your typical oceanside hotel. For the money you cannot beat it. You are just a few steps from the beach; which is great. You are just across the street from a grocery store and the bus line. My wife and I like to get out and do things so we didn't spend a great deal of time at the hotel. We loved the beach access however, swimming is great and the food in the area, both on the beach and close by are great. The hotel itself is older. The room was nice (get on the second or third floor) and the balcony was also private and nice. The staff was wonderful and always friendly. Remember, this is the caribbean so don't expect a 5 star rating. If you want that, go down the beach and pay 3x more for the same beach, food and shopping. This is what makes the Sunswept a great value. We had a great time. Thanks again. « less

The hotel from the outside looks a little shabby and could do with a 'lick of paint' but do not let this fool you. The location could not be more perfect- bang on the beach, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the neighbouring restaurants and bars are perfect for a chilled night on the beach and the rooms themselves although basic are clean and have everything you need. You do not need a car as everything is in walking distance. If we had to be critical, it would be that the beach attendants are a little too chatty! They are very friendly but it is hard to get into a book as they are sometimes bordering on annoying. But this is us being picky! I would highly recommend Sunswept beach to anyone not expecting luxury but wanting something convenient, clean and beautifully located. « less
