Stayed at the Sea Breeze from 16 - 30 April. Everything was perferct. The food, the drink, the beach, the entertainment - in fact everything. Would highly recommend this hotel. The location is fab. Near Oistins for Friday nights and not too far from St Lawrence Gap. The food in the hotel is exceptional. Lovely breakfasts and the most delicious omelettes cooked by Judy. We only ever had lunch at the beach bar where they bbq and you get, fish, burgers, chicken and lovely pizzas cooked in an authentic pizza oven. We never felt the need to go up to the Mermaid restaurant for lunch. Afternoon tea was served in the Mermaid and this was lovely - little sandwiches, cakes and scones etc. Most people, however, washed it down with a cocktail instead of tea - haha. In the evening the Mermaid does some buffet nights and some a la carte. We only had one buffet but this was very nice. The a la carte was very, very good. The Azul restaurant which you are able to eat in twice for free was exceptionally good and the ambience was lovely. The drinks were lovely especially the champagne (sparkling wine). Ask for a champagne and melon juice - delicious. The hotel is one of the friendliest we have stayed in and I don't know if this is due to the all British clientele. The only negative things I am going to say are that there was one boy working in the beach bar who seemed to have an attitude and didn't really want to be working there and sometimes the beach vendors can be too much. There are some particular staff I would like to mention who gave wonderful service - Paula, Chester, Big Dave, Gordon, Junior, Marcia, Sandra and the young little girl who used to do the BBQ at lunch time. Also had lovely meals out at Pieces at St Lawrence Gap and Tapas at Hastsings. Also have to mention the Virgin Ahoy catamaran trip which was amazing. Swimming with the turtles, snorkling and a lovely BBQ lunch on board - oh and you also get the chance to swim out to the Sandy Lane beach and wander along it looking for celebs! Can't wait to return. « less

Have just returned from Sea Breeze Beach, stayed there from 19th April - 3rd May. We booked a standard room through Virgin Holidays, we were just alongside the adult pool, this was quiet during the day although you could listen to the music in the evening. The music did stop soon after 11pm so not too bad. The rooms were very good size, they had everything you could want, room safe, tea & coffee making facilities also an umbrella in case of emergency! The bathrooms were also good sized with plenty of toiletries and hiardryer. Both room and bathroom were at all times spotlessly clean and a nice touch was the fresh flowers most days. The food was very good, there was always plenty of choice. The Mermaid for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dinner was buffet 3 nights a week and a la carte the rest of the week all of which were excellent. Breakfast was a must and Judy at the egg station is a real character and so good at cooking her eggs. For something special make the most of your two visits to The Azul. The food is excellent, service also excellent and the surroundings just romantic and beautiful. The food we had here was first class, we chose from the standard menu but you can upgrade if you want to, but with the selection on the All Inclusive there seems no need to pay more. Beaches are good, the sea was quite rough whilst were there but it was lovely. The only down side to the beach is the fact the beach guys seem to want to keep the sun loungers in regimental straight lines with a sun umbrella between 2 beds. If you try to arrange your beds in a different way they dont like it. But that is a small price to pay. In general all the staff were fantastic and went out of their way to help and always had a smile and were so friendly. We booked a Taxi through reception to go out round the Island, our driver 'Winston' was so good and told us so much about the Island. It was better than organised trips as we did what we wanted to at our speed, well worth the money $200 between 4 from 9am til 4pm. All in all a great holiday, would we go back, yes if we went back to Barbados. All in all a great holiday at a good hotel « less

Recently stayed at the Sea Breeze off the back of a friends review of the hotel and she was right to recommend this place. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel so welcome by everyone, all the staff said hello and asked after us wherever we went, they remembered our names, where we were from, when we arrived etc. There are two main restaurants for evening meals, The Mermaid which is a buffet on selected days and al a carte on others, and Azul which you need to book in advance for and be advised it is closed on certain days of the week. The buffet meals are what you would expect but meals from the al carte menu and Azul were outstanding. Rooms are large and have everything you need, there's a safe and a typical hotel bathroom hairdryer (I didn't bring my own and this did the trick), there are chairs and tables outside on your patio or balcony, even a brolly in your wardrobe in case it rains and the bar is never far away! The smaller beach the website refers to is ok but only has 4 sun loungers where as the other has plenty and is right next to the water sports guys and beach bar. The beach bar is well worth a visit in the afternoon, burgers, pizza, grilled chicken, steak, salmon etc from 12.30 (tip - you'll need to go to the bar and collect your table number otherwise staff won't know you want a meal). You have nightly entertainment and you should find a list of what's on each evening in your room, the singers are actually really good and if you want an early night, they don't go on too late. For daily entertainment, visit Judy who cooks the eggs at breakfast. She makes the morning for you and cooks the most perfect poached eggs. You can pay in advance to reserve sun loungers and umbrellas but if you’re going outside of peak season you won't need to, there were plenty free when we stayed at the beginning of May. You will get beach vendors selling you bits and pieces and as the beaches are free for everyone to visit - tourist and locals alike. Please don't be put off by this, the guys are really friendly and certainly don't overstep the mark. They're there every day and will stop for a nice chat before moving on. We got a taxi from the airport, it took about 20 mins and cost 20 USD one way, there's a small gift shop selling sun lotion, snacks, drinks, gifts etc. and there's a Virgin room in reception, fully air conned with wifi, computers and a play station. I'm so pleased I took my friends advice and stayed here and if I visit the island again, I'd have no trouble deciding where to stay. « less

We were really well looked after at this perfectly located hotel with its direct access to the soft sandy beach, the staff were great with special mentions to badboy Marlon Big Dave ,Marcia,Paula,Chester, Richard the gardener. We had the ocean view room 223 which was excellent, it was really great laying on the sun beds being spoilt with waiter service & cold flannels in the afternoon. Breakfast was the best time with Judy being the star the evening meals & entertainment were a bit hit & miss having said that there was always plenty of choices at the pool bar.Trips to go on we loved the virgin ahoy catamaran trip out of Bridgetow Oistens on Friday night was very crowded but well worth a look & the gap with its friendly local bars to summarise our 10 days in Barbados was brilliat having met some lovely people « less
