Panorama Roof Deck Bar
Towering eight stories above the beach and the Atlantic Ocean, Ocean Two’s rooftop bar, Panorama, offers truly unparalleled views in every direction. If the elegant bar with the spectacular view is not enough, guests will be tempted by the plunge pool to help keep them cool. This is the only rooftop patio bar in Barbados, and it offers gorgeous views of the sunset. Careful observers may be fortunate enough to catch the famous green flash at the moment the sun sinks beyond the horizon. After sunset, the twinkling lights of Oistins Bay and the island beyond make the perfect backdrop for a romantic evening. The bar is open from 5:00 pm until 11:00 pm, and this is an adults only area.

Oistins
On Friday evenings, the place you want to be is the south-coast fishing village of Oistins. The huge street festival featuring barbecued chickens and all varieties of fresh fish hot from the grill has become a Barbados institution. This is the ultimate dining venue for families with kids. Dining is done at roadside picnic tables, the servings are huge, and at approximately $10 per person, the price is absolutely right.

Scotties Bar
The front of the restaurant calls this little place “Scotties” but the phone book, and many other references, call it Scotty’s. This is a local carry-out restaurant with a few tables outside where diners may choose to unpack their food and dine. On an island that caters so thoroughly to visitors, Scotties is a refreshing change, being a hangout where you will always find locals noshing and talking about the pressing matters of the day – namely, cricket.
The food is local style home cooking and though the menu changes daily, visitors have to try their “Pie”, a local macaroni and cheese affair, for which they use several subtly different recipes, so every night you will get something a little different.
