Good place to start your holiday off with in your own little house away from it all. Very nicely kitted out - even the kitchen which we thought we wouldn't use was very handy. The food from the fish pot was delicious for all meals. Management were very efficient with any requests but were very hands off if you were expecting a hotel type service as this more of a b&b. Only comments would be to make more of the beach area as it is currently underused and could be used for drinks in the evening etc / sun loungers etc. And yes the road can be a little annoying but you get used to it. « less

I've been to Barbados for a vacation before but never had as good of a time as we did at Little Good Harbour. Everything about the hotel was incredible - from the staff, the room, the grounds to the restaurant. It's in a great location where you can access public buses, or walk up the beach to the local town for a fish fry, rum shack or store for food, etc. I would go back to this location without hesitation. It was my perfect vacation. « less

If you want something a bit different and right on the beach this is a lovely but expensive little place to stay. We had two nights on the Fort Suite which is at the water’s edge and has wonderful views. As it is an old building it has plenty of charm and character and frankly just a little bit different from most hotels. The beach is great, small, empty and is protected for little kids. The rooms are specious and well fitted out and quite charming. The four poster bed was cute but small. The room we were in was right above the Fish Pot restaurant which meant at night we did hear some of the pots and pans banging but it was not problematic. It is also right on the road which means you do hear the occasional car. The rest of the resort and pools are on the other side of the road although it is not very busy. The Fish Pot is very good and has the same wonderful views but not great value and there is not much else close. The town is a short drive away. Overall this is a charming place that is very slow and quite if that is what you are after. « less

Sister hotel to East coast's Atlantis. This was the 2nd leg of our holiday so we arrived already relaxed. Little Good Harbour is well located away from the hustle and bustle so was an easy transition. We were shown to our room by Trevor. Our garden room was very nice, surrounded by tropical plants and their feathered inhabitants. This place feels peaceful and will suit green lovers. There's a kitchen with everything you need if you are self catering. Upstairs there's a big bathroom with a very powerful shower, nice toiletries, hairdryer. The bedroom has a four poster bed which is a king size. We were hoping for a bigger bed like we had at the Atlantis. It was still comfy though. A quick walk across the road takes you to the Fish Pot restaurant which is renowned for its excellent food. We ate here several times and it was consistently good. Breakfasts were best as it was the quietiest and sat by the beach first thing in the morning was beautiful. Other times were busier and you felt like you had to dress up a bit and keep up with the Jones (who live 2 hours just outside London on the South coast Darling) I had a spa treatment and loved it. The girl in there was fantastic. I was delighted with my pedicure. Left with sparkly toes! When we weren't touring the island, we stayed by the pool. A lovely freshwater Bali style pool with plenty of loungers around. It was very relaxing and peaceful here. The beach is great for families with small children but we chose not to go on it. Not when Halle Berry type bodies are parading up and down in a couple of strings. We were NOT beach ready! All in all, we had a very relaxing holiday. « less

On the plus side, the accommodations are very attractive, comfortable and good value - a far better option than a room at a more centrally located hotel property. Because food in Barbados is very costly, the small kitchen is a significant amenity. You can enjoy breakfast on your terrace and order room service in the evening from the Fish Pot- when you forget to book a table four days in advance and cannot be seated at the hotel-owned restaurant. You will likely find that the other guests seem nice and would make good company, but the property layout is such that it is unlikely you will see much of your fellow guests. Privacy is guaranteed at LGH. Though there is aways someone responsive in the office, don't expect to find "management" in your face. LGH is less like the hotel it purports to be and more like an private enclave where one finds two private pools, nicely situated cottages and across the street, a wonderful restaurant on the water. The beach is small but pleasant. Like most of the West Coast resorts, water for swimming is there, but the beach has left due to erosion. One cannot stroll very far up or down the beach before it runs out. I very much missed the option of walking at LGH; the road has no room for pedestrians to stroll safely and even if it did, the noise from the traffic would ruin any sense of peace and tranquility. When staying at LGH, be prepared to be self-contained. There are no extra diversions this far north of Speightstown. Night travel to more active areas (Holetown) should probably be undertaken in a cab and not your own car. « less
